About This Tool
Headline monthly prices omit seats, add-ons, card fees, hardware and migration. This calculator estimates first-year cost from the starting listed SKU we store, plus the figures you enter. Plan models differ: some SKUs are flat whole-company, some are per seat, and some are quote-only.
Why This Matters for Australian Businesses
Comparing entry-level cards without seats, GST basis or one-off costs understates what you will pay in year one. A sourced $0 plan is a complete free total. A quote-only product is a partial known-sum, not a free plan. USD list prices are not converted to AUD.
How to Use This Tool
- Add up to three products. Each card prefills only the starting listed SKU, with the pricing field-check date and source link.
- Set seat count and tax view. Per-seat plans use the seat count; flat whole-company charges are not multiplied.
- Edit the base amount if you have a different invoice, and add optional estimates for add-ons, hardware, migration and transaction fees.
- Read monthly recurring, annual recurring, one-off and first-year totals. First year is the annual invoice plus one-offs, not the rounded monthly figure rebuilt.
Key Rules & Thresholds
- Starting listed SKUs are not all billed the same way: some are flat whole-company, some are per seat, some are quote-only.
- GST of 10% is applied only when the stored tax basis is inclusive or exclusive. Unknown tax stays as entered.
- USD list prices are not converted to AUD.
- A known $0 plan is a complete free total. A quote-only plan is a partial known-sum, not $0.
- First-year total is annual recurring plus one-off. An annually billed amount is not rebuilt from the rounded monthly equivalent.
- Hardware, migration, add-ons and transaction volume are estimates unless you paste a sourced invoice.
How Results Are Calculated
Each scenario sends the starting listed SKU and your edits to the first-year cost engine. Amounts are integer cents. Monthly plans are multiplied by 12 for the annual recurring figure. Annual plans use the annual invoice as first-year recurring; the monthly figure is that invoice divided by 12, rounded to the nearest cent (0.5 cents up). GST of 10% is added to exclusive amounts or removed as 1/11 from inclusive amounts only when the tax basis is known. Quote-only and unknown mandatory lines are omitted. Optional add-ons, hardware, migration and transaction fees are included only when you enter them, and are labelled estimates.
